The “Makro HoReCa Challenge 2023” competition, a stage for searching for the best chefs nationwide that has been continuously organized, has come to an end. This year, it is organized under the concept of “Global To Local, Global Way...to Local” at the 16th Thailand Food Business Expo “HoReCa FOODINATION, Complete, Up-to-date with the Food Business”. Makro, under CP Extra Public Company Limited, led by Ms. Saowalak Thithaphan, Chief Executive Officer, Wholesale Business Group, Makro Thailand, Mr. Thanis Chearavanont, Chief Executive Officer, Wholesale Business, Makro Thailand, along with executives, Ms. Amornluck Lamul, Chairwoman of the Organizing Committee of the 16th Thailand Food Business Expo, and Chef Wilment Leon, jointly presented awards and congratulated the winners of various categories, led by Chef Fa Chinida Kanapitakpong, who won the professional category, and Mr. Chotiphat Thewarit, a 4th year student from Surat Thani Rajabhat University, who won the youth category, and received a trophy from Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali. Krommuen Suthanarinath, this event was held at Impact Muang Thong Thani.
Chef Fa Chanida Kanapitakpong revealed her feelings about competing in the Makro HoReCa Challenge 2023 and her future path, saying, “I want to follow in the footsteps of my seniors who have competed in the Makro HoReCa Challenge in previous years and are now famous chefs who have opened restaurants with a large number of followers. Receiving this award will help build my reputation, expand my business, and give me the opportunity to compete on the world stage.”
Mr. Chotipat Thewarit said about his success in this arena that “Since last year, the teacher has supported me to join every competition because it helps me improve, learn new experiences and cooking techniques that are more than in the classroom. It is a competition that allows us to learn shortcuts, professional cooking techniques, and the opportunity to compete on the world stage, which can change our lives in the future.”
