CP Extra joins hands with the Forest Industry Organization to deliver surplus food to promote the welfare of Thai elephants, aiming to conserve elephants and the environment for a sustainable world.

CP Extra Public Company Limited, the leader of wholesale business “Makro” and the leader of retail business “Lotus”, aims to operate in accordance with the intention of sustainability by driving through various projects covering all dimensions, including corporate governance, society and environment. Recently, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the Forest Industry Organization to provide surplus food that can still be eaten, such as vegetables and fruits, to promote the welfare of elephants of the National Elephant Institute under the Royal Patronage and to jointly manage the problem of excess food (Food Waste) by having a management process from upstream to downstream to reduce food loss from both Makro and Lotus branches in Chiang Mai, Lampang and Krabi, totaling more than 10 branches.
